Jeremy is the product of diverse public schools, and is the son of two teachers, the grandson of a teacher, and the brother of a teacher. After graduating the University of Virginia, and an internship in New York, Jeremy attended law school in Chicago, graduating in 1999, entering private practice, and marrying his wife, Katherine. In 2005 they moved to Charlotte to be closer to her family.
In Charlotte, Jeremy’s professional practice has grown as an Equity Shareholder of the McNair Law Firm, P.A., a full service law firm headquartered in Columbia, SC. He principally practices Labor and Employment law, counseling corporate management on risk avoidance, employee relations and compliance, and defending liability claims through jury trials and appeals. He is a frequent speaker and author on these legal topics. He is highly rated professionally by his peers, and his clients.
Jeremy is a recent past president of the Charlotte Area Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), with more than 400 members locally. He is currently the Government Affairs Director of the North Carolina SHRM, where he shapes its Legislative Agenda to include K-12 advocacy statewide on behalf of human resources professionals.
Most important, Jeremy is a devoted husband and father to the joy of his life, Hazel, now six years old. Jeremy is also an avid runner and “back of the pack” triathlete, often before the sun rises.
